Singing Hands Goes Live
We have lounched a fair-trade cooperative for Dimen artisans to make sustainable living through the sale of products locally and abroad. The first batch of products has arrived for test marketing in two markets in US. An online store is to follow soon! Check out our Christmas Catalog!

Lee has formed a student-run agency to market the products and help artisans expand the existing line of products. There will be three interns working with her in the spring.

Screen printing workshops for adults and children in Dimen, China

Printing their village motifs, thirty children learned about their heritage through two workshops.The Dimen museum staff participad in separate workshops where they learned the entire process from start to finish, drew their own designs and then developed artifacts with screen-printed motifs

In cooperation with the Dimen Dong Cultural Eco Museum, Marie Anna Lee and her students from University of the Pacific in California have worked in and with the community of Dimen in Guizhou province of China to preserve its cultural heritage, promote local identity and improve its living standards through various design methodologies.
